Projects
Longship | Brevik CCS
Longship is Norway’s national full-scale initiative for carbon capture, transport and permanent storage of CO₂. The project establishes a complete value chain for carbon management and represents one of Europe’s most significant industrial CCS programmes.
Brevik CCS is the carbon capture facility at Heidelberg Materials in Brevik and forms a central part of Longship. The facility is designed for full-scale capture of CO₂ from cement production and serves as a reference project for the practical industrialisation of carbon capture in hard-to-abate industry.
Knardal Consulting AS works in a specialised advisory engineering capacity related to carbon capture, with emphasis on practical execution, technical interfaces, document follow-up and support for structure in complex project organisations.
The company’s competence is particularly relevant in project environments such as Brevik CCS and Northern Lights, where process facilities, mechanical integration, document control and operational execution must be managed in parallel. This is a specialisation with clear practical value and a natural basis for long-term advisory engagements.
